FRC Canada Referrals — Physicians and Referring Professionals

Discuss an appropriate referral pathway

Physicians, other clinicians, first-responder organizations and prospective clients can contact FRC Canada to ask about services and referral arrangements.

We are accepting new clients. Availability, suitability and location eligibility must be confirmed before a referral can be accepted.

Begin with a general enquiry

Email referrals@frccanada.ca to request information about the referral process. Keep the initial message administrative; ask how relevant documents can be supplied through an approved process.

Do not attach medical records, case histories, assessment reports or other sensitive client information to an initial ordinary email. Make sure any later information sharing follows the appropriate consent and clinical process.

Information that may support a referral

Once the clinical team has confirmed an appropriate secure pathway and the person’s consent, relevant information may include:

  • The person’s contact details and reason for referral
  • Relevant health history, medications and current treating providers
  • Known safety concerns or recent acute-care involvement
  • Language, accessibility, location and clinician preferences
  • Relevant insurer or funding arrangements and the referring provider’s contact information

Share only what is reasonably necessary. A formal diagnosis is not required to ask about an assessment. Acceptance depends on clinical suitability, scope, jurisdiction and availability.

What happens next

The administrative team can direct the enquiry to the clinical lead. Clinical suitability, service scope, appointment options and the next steps will be considered before an appointment is arranged.

Sending an enquiry does not create a therapeutic relationship, confirm an appointment or place someone on a waitlist.

General service information

Virtual care is available to eligible clients in Ontario. Availability elsewhere will be confirmed before appointments are offered, taking account of clinician registration, insurance and the client’s location.

Appointments & new clients

Joining the waitlist? Create your FRC Canada client account in Jane first, then sign in and add yourself to the waitlist. Registration and a waitlist request do not confirm an appointment.

We are accepting new clients. Check availability in Jane or call administration for help getting started. Suitability and location eligibility are confirmed individually.
